His Majesty King Letsie III will embark on a three-day State Visit to the Republic of Mozambique, from 26 – 28 August 2009, by invitation of H.E. President Armando Ermilio Guebuza of Mozambique.

The visit is intended to enhance the fraternal bilateral relations which subsist between Lesotho and Mozambique. During the visit, the following bilateral agreements will be signed by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the two countries.

1. Visa Abolition Agreement; and
2. Joint Bilateral Commission of Cooperation Agreement.

Lesotho and Mozambique have enjoyed ties of friendship and cooperation characterized by mutual understanding and solidarity based on the principles of sovereign equality, non-interference and shared aspirations.

His Majesty’s delegation will include Her Majesty Queen ‘Masenate Seeiso; the Hon. Mr M. Tsekoa, the Hon. Mrs Mpeo Mahase-Moiloa; Principal Chief of Ramabanta Morena Seeiso Api; Mrs ‘Maseoehla Ntlama MP; SPS Palace Mr M. Lerotholi, DPS Foreign Affairs Mr T. Lekhela and other senior government officials.
